GB4U members joined the meeting with Taras Kachka, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine.

During the meeting, participants discussed with the Deputy Prime Minister strategic issues, including the prospects for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union and possible timelines, as well as a number of sector-specific matters — particularly in the agricultural and industrial sectors — related to Ukraine’s European integration commitments.

The discussion covered progress in harmonising Ukrainian legislation with EU law, key changes for businesses, the impact of new standards on the competitiveness of Ukrainian companies, and access to European markets.

At present, Ukraine’s EU membership depends on fulfilling the necessary benchmarks, preparing the Accession Treaty and securing its ratification by all Member States. To accelerate the process, certain procedures are already being conducted in parallel. According to Mr Kachka, the accession timeline now largely depends on Ukraine itself.

We are grateful to Taras Kachka for his regular meetings and open dialogue with the business community, as well as for the important work and extraordinary efforts of his team in advancing the European integration agenda.
