On March 5 in Brussels, Iaroslava Savastieieva, GB4U Co-founder and Deputy Director of the European Business Association, took part in the panel discussion «Empowering Europe: The Role of Ukrainians Abroad».

The discussion, organised by Women Leaders for Ukraine and Ukrainian Voices RC under the patronage of the Mission of Ukraine to the European Union, focused on the contribution of Ukrainians living and working across Europe and how their experience, networks and knowledge can support Ukraine’s recovery and long-term development.

During the panel, Iaroslava shared the perspective of the Ukrainian business community. She highlighted how Ukrainian businesses are increasingly expanding to European markets despite the challenges of competition, regulatory adaptation and certification requirements. At the same time, cooperation between Ukrainian and European companies is already developing through joint projects in areas such as defence technologies, green energy and telecommunications.

Such partnerships across Europe demonstrate how Ukrainian innovation and industrial capacity are gradually becoming integrated into European value chains while supporting Ukraine’s path toward deeper cooperation with the European Union.

We are grateful to the organisers for the opportunity to join this important discussion and explore how collaboration can benefit both Ukrainian and European economies and societies.
