On September 24, a special gathering took place in Geneva, co-organized by the Global Business for Ukraine, the European Business Association, and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN Office in Geneva. The event brought together business leaders, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives of international organizations at the premises of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
The welcoming remarks came from Yevheniy Tsymbaliuk, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Office and other IO in Geneva; Anna Derevyanko, CEO and Co-Founder of Global Business for Ukraine, Executive Director of the European Business Association; and Lesia Voroniuk, Co-Founder of the "Vyshyvanka Day" NGO.
A cultural highlight of the evening was the opening of the Unbroken Heritage exhibition, introduced by Lesia Voroniuk. It featured unique Ukrainian folk costumes from temporarily occupied territories. The exhibition allowed guests to experience the beauty and craftsmanship of Ukrainian traditions. It also served as a reminder of the urgent need to protect cultural heritage that is now at risk.
Guests had the opportunity to explore Ukraine’s cultural legacy, and the exhibition will remain on display at WIPO for two weeks. We sincerely thank all attendees for joining us, as well as our co-organizers – the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN in Geneva –and WIPO for their kind hospitality.
